Apex Cleaning Supplies provide a half hour training session to organisations that handle or use any cleaning chemical provided by Apex.
This session provides information to understand all the points in a MSDS and how they relate to a risk assessment and the container label. It also covers:
Ÿ
risks associated with handling, mixing and decanting chemicals
Ÿ
personal protective equipment (PPE),  including gloves and goggles and action to take if the product is spilt or comes in contact with eyes and skin or is inhaled.
Upon completion of the training, a certificate is provided to each attendee. The training includes a review in the quarter following the initial training session.
Over the past 16 years, Apex has helped hundreds of community-based, not-for-profit and privately owned child care centres:
Ÿ
prepare for accreditation
Ÿ
implement proper cleaning procedures
Ÿ
train their staff
Ÿ
by providing labels for spray bottles
Ÿ
by providing MSDS and risk assesments
